Democratic Republic of Congo Flag

This is the flag of the Democratic Republic of Congo that was used from 1997-2003. It is set on a blue background and features a single large yellow star in the center, with six smaller yellow stars in a vertical line on the left side, which symbolize the six provinces of the nation. It is similar to the independence flag that was used from 1960-1963[1].
