Libya Coat of Arms
The coat of arms of Libya was adopted in 1977 when the country exited from the Federation of Arab Republics. It features a bird known as Hawk of Quraish, which is the the emblem of the tribe of the prophet Muhammad. A green shield is featured on the bird's chest, which is symbolic of both the green cloak of the prophet Muhammad as well as Colonel Gaddafi's Green Revolution[1].
