Lion of Judah
The Lion of Judah was the symbol used for the Israelite tribe of Judah in the Book of Genesis of the Old Testament. It is used in the coat of arms of Jerusalem as well as the historical flag of Ethiopia from 1897. In the Rastafari Movement, The Lion of Judah represents Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia, who was crowned on November 2, 1930, and is believed to be a descendant of the tribe of Judah[1].
