Lithuania Flag
The flag of Lithuania is a horizontal tricolour consisting of three equal bands of yellow, green, and red. It was adopted in 1989 during the end of the Soviet Union. However, it also served as the national flag from 1918 to 1940. The three colors are frequently used in folk weavings and traditional dress, and are thought to have been suggested by Lithuanian exiles in the 19th century, who were inspired by the French tricolour. Yellow stands for golden fields, green represents the countryside, and red is symbolic of the blood of patriots[1].

  Lithuania Coat of Arms
The coat of arms of Lithuania depicts an armored knight on horseback who wields an olden sword and shield. This symbol is called the Vytis, or "The Chaser". Although the current version was adopted in 1991, the symbol dates back to 1366 when it was featured on the arms of Algirdas, the seal of the Grand Duke of Lithuania. Many regiments of the united Polish-Lithuanian army flew banners containing the emblem at the Battle of Grunwald in 1410, where they defeated the Teutonic Order. Some believe that the symbol derives from Lithuanian mythology, and that Vytis represents Perkūnas, a god of thunder[2].
